Have you already completed a bachelor’s degree and want to move on to a graduate program? CSU would love to be a part of your continued educational journey.

Application Steps

To apply to one of CSU's online graduate programs, please follow these steps:

1. Review available online master's degree programs, doctoral programs, and graduate certificates. 
2. Each program page provides contact information for a Prospective Student Support Coach. Please connect with that coach regarding any questions about the program or how to apply. 
3. When you're ready, submit your application through the CSU Graduate School. 
   • Applying to a graduate program for the first time? Follow the “New Degree or Certificate” info.
   • Returning to graduate studies after a pause? Please follow the “Returning/Readmit” info.
     
4. Find out if you are eligible to apply to your graduate program for free.
5. If you do not meet free application eligibility, the cost to apply is:
   • Domestic students: $60
   • International students: $70
   • Students who were admitted to a graduate program in the past and took a pause and now want to return to their graduate program: $150
   • If you were academically dismissed from your graduate program, you may not be eligible to reapply. Please speak with your advisor or the Graduate School about application eligibility.

Important Dates

The Graduate School application opens in:

• August for the next year’s Fall semester and Summer semester start terms
• February for the next years’ Spring semester start term

Please note that application dates vary by program.

International Student Info

International students do not need a student visa to live in their home countries and complete an online graduate program with CSU. Student visas to live in the U.S. are typically only provided to students admitted to on-campus/in-person degree programs.

Additional Information About Graduate Certificates

• Refer to the certificate program pages for specifics on application due dates.
• To receive a graduate certificate, you must be admitted into the program prior to enrolling in the final course.
