Falene Young, CPA

Falene Young teaches accounting in the undergraduate program at CSU, with an emphasis on financial accounting and reporting. With prior experience teaching in a Colorado community college, Falene has worked with transfer students at all levels of their education, and understands the special set of concerns, challenges, abilities and qualifications that this group of learners brings to the workforce.
Falene offers both entrepreneurial spirit and public accounting experience to each of her classrooms. Prior to academia, she worked in the tax and audit departments of a Colorado-based full-service accounting firm and ran an independent bookkeeping service. Falene holds a B.S. in accounting from University of Colorado Denver, a MAcc from Colorado State University, and an active CPA license in the state of Colorado.
